The Hand & the Making

 

​I work from my home atelier on a hill in Slovenia, at the edge of the forest. The surrounding landscape shapes my rhythm as much as the materials themselves — slow, seasonal, attentive.

I have been creating with my hands since my early twenties. Today, every piece is made, finished, and sent by me — a one-woman practice carried from beginning to end.

I work slowly, often in a meditative state, allowing form to emerge rather than be controlled. The hand leaves its trace in every curve and texture. These marks are not signatures, but evidence of presence.

Making is a dialogue between intuition and material, memory and form. Inspired by nature and ancient craft traditions, the process holds pauses and adjustments — a way of listening as much as making.

What results is not perfection, but honesty: a piece shaped by human hands, meant for another human body.

Each one carries its own rhythm and quiet story, formed in the intimacy of the atelier.
